Global Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) Investigations
Our client, the due diligence department of a multinational corporation, was looking to source corporate records in Afghanistan, Ghana and Mexico to identify ultimate beneficial ownership of a number of entities registered for a potential partner.
The client had previously been unable to conduct this type of due diligence in large parts of the world where ownership information is not digitised.
Via the Ground Truth platform, the client was able to access the information directly from the three jurisdictions. This enabled the client to pursue a range of new commercial relationships that had previously been off limits due to the inability to conduct adequate due diligence in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
